neurodiversity In the lens of leo kanner

In 1943, Leo Kanner published his landmark paper, "Autistic Disturbances of Affective Contact," which details the differences of schizophrenia and autism (which was once attributed to schizophrenia.) Kanner's studies later formed the groundwork for the further research of the childhood autism spectrum disorder.

Leo Kanner had always expressed a deep concern for the mistreatment of neurodivergent children. He despised the self-centered ideology that "special" children were inferior. But unfortunately, many of these issues still prevail to this day.

The goal of our website is to completely shatter the common misconceptions and stereotypes that autistic people face today, just like Leo Kanner did.
